Project Description
Location: Clark County, Nevada
The Harry Allen to Eldorado Project involved the construction of over 60 miles of transmission line in southern Nevada. K2 provided a team of environmental specialists to support Sturgeon Electric during construction of this project. K2’s staff conducted preconstruction surveys, identified cacti for salvage, and worked with resource specialists for desert tortoise monitoring. The K2 environmental manager played an important role in working with construction personnel to guarantee that everyone was prepared to have the resource specialists onsite, on time to ensure construction moved forward. K2 also provided support for managing water acquisition and use on the project, which was a critical resource for ensuring compliance with strict dust control requirements.
