Southwest Intertie Project, Due Diligence Report

Location: Eastern Nevada

In anticipation of a merger between NV Energy and Great Basin Transmission to build a joint project through eastern Nevada, NV Energy contracted K2 Environmental LLC to conduct a due diligence review on all permits and agreements that had been acquired or developed for the project. This analysis included reviewing all acquired and pending permits, all mitigation measures developed within the project’s NEPA documents, and a thorough review of the project alignment and access. A report was developed for NV Energy that summarized the agreements and conditions set forth in the project environmental documents, any risks or concerns were identified and recommendations for revising or acquiring new permits were provided.
