Project Description
Location: Garfield and Walla Walla Counties
This project included new construction of a 28 mile 500kV transmission line located in Garfield and Walla Walla Counties, Washington. The main environmental concerns on this project were erosion, endangered species protection, noxious weeds, cultural resource protection, dust control, and spill prevention. The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) was written and maintained by K2 for the duration of the project. K2 provided a full-time on-site environmental manager and managed a team of cultural resource specialists. The project also involved a significant amount of landowner coordination.
